What is the approximate age of a G-2 A. Standard boiler in a brown jacket? I asked this question last week, but lost my bookmark. Sorry.

    G-2

was probably installed in the 1950s or early 1960s. They last a long time!

If I give someone the serial number

could they tell me the age that way? An old plumber in my neigborhood told me when I bought the house in 98 that he installed it about 15 years back, but I know that isn't true as A.S. stopped making boilers around 1972! She is an old work horse however old she may be. I just would really like to know how long she has been "sitting around."
