1 pipe boiler maintanence

in THE MAIN WALL
1 pipe gas steam system. Other than draining water from the LWCO and a drain valve at the bottom rear of the boiler is there any thing else I could do to this boiler for preventive maintanence? I saw some boiler cleaning product in a plumbing/heating supply store, but Im not sure how easy it would be to add that to this system
