WOW week

So you know you have those weeks that make your head get all spun around??? i've been haven one of those.I worked 18hrs sat and sun. to start and everything i'm looking at is wacky, scary (boo!), immpossable to fix in the h.O.s timeframe or both. Example i go to a house that has had no heat since last March. There is a Porsche 911 in the drive way but they don't have heat yet?? Anyhow it dawns on me as i'm looking around that it's warm inside for no heat. Then I see it in the living room a propane grill tank attachted to a unvented 250kBTU heater like we use at a construction site!!!! (boo!)
Then I looked at a TRANE vapor steam system original circa 1918 including the boiler ,hasn't been touched in 30 years HO wants to know what's wrong i wonder where to even begin. big house lots of old steam traps, suspect piping in basement, it goes on and on, i'm gettin dizzy.
today 5000 sqft 1 pipe original snowman. 150 year old house they want radaint, AC, some hydro air new boilers in garrage etc, YIKES gonna take alot of thought.
Then a six story office biulding. Has water source heat pumps via 1.2 million steam boiler through heat exchanger.
Owner wants multiple Viessmanns instead. i'm invisioning that we have time to do this that we can biuld the Viessmann side then rip out the old steam beastie.
Imagine my surprise when i go there and the steam boiler is in pieces all over the floor..... "Ya well if we give you the go ahead when can you start"..... It was 20 out yesterday... The boilers been down obviously for months. Can't anybody plan ahead???
having all the works good but man i'm going nuts I gotta just start saying NO! to some of this stuff. but then what fun would that be?? Then we wouldn't see those 1918 Trane sytems or any of that other cool stuff would we?

Maybe you should talk to S. Milne .
He's been feeling the same way for the last couple of days . I had him put on some Jazz in the office this A.M. , and did the "positive re-enforcement" thing for a while . Personally , I think it worked . (probably because Halloween is one of his favorite days of the year).
Hey bossman , How about a photo of the front yard ? I had to drive by for a peek see today (YES ON MY WAY TO A JOB !) and I think the boys will get a kick out of it . Chris.0 -
I think your right Chris
I still have Jean Luc Ponty playing right now.
Onward and upward.
I will try and post some pictures of Milney World.
GO get em Joel, just take em one at a time.
Scott " egocentric molecules " Milne
