I am just back home after two great weeks in Florida, what a country !!!
The weather was fab, the food was fab. My son & I had a ball.
Back here in Scotland it's about 42*F & damp.
But business is good so I'm still happy.

    Back with the midges, huh?

    Ah, yes. Fond memories of sitting on the back porch with a plate of haggis with my hand wrapped around a glass of single malt. My inlaws live in Beeswing, just outside of Dumfries and we used to visit them every other year when our kids were small so they could see their cousins. Fond memories.

    Speaking of food, I had one of the best East Indian meals I've ever had at a restaurant in Dumfries; and it was snowing outside. It was a strange experience eating spicy food in the snow and the last place I'd expect an Indian family to set up shop.

    It was my first experience with midges - they're called no-see-um's here and they were pretty nasty characters.

    Glad you had a good time in Florida. Come see us again.
