Any opinion on weil-mclain burner QB-180.Pro and con.

Not a bad burner but at least IMO not quite up to Riello standards. The biggest problem with this burner is the fact that it has been discontinued.

QB W/Mburner
I installed a few 3-4 years ago . They said (at the supply house) it stood for "quiet burner" . Couldn't be further from the truth .They were loud running , loud starting and loud going up the chimney . Ran nice and clean , but the noise drove me back to W/M-Beckett combo with pre and post purge . JMHO Chris.0 -

True, and at that point you probably replaced the
spinner and it went back to running fine. I have never heard of it, but I wonder if the air holes in the brass ring could become plugged given the right environment.C0 -
After doing this for ,
about 10 years I think anything can and will get plugged!I have found the W/M with an Carlin E-Z Pro burner will give you very nice results.0
