Hello All,
I am a contractor looking for advice with a snowmelt system that I am getting ready to install. I have done snowmelt before, but never with asphalt. Can it be done, and what tdo i have to look out for?
thanks to all who help

We just got done installing some snowmelt in a parking area and driveway. We used LOW-E Slab sheild insulation and then laid down wire mesh and tied off our 5/8 WIRSBO tubing to that. The paving contractor then put down 2" of stone dust (this compacts better than sand for a better base.)and then his binder coat for this year. They will do the final coat next year. We had 70 lbs. on the system during the stone dust process, and cold water running during the asphalt process. We will try to post some pictures at another time0
