wiring digital thermostat

Iam working on a Burnham boiler 560,00 btu and we would like to maintain a constant boiler temp of 80 degrees even if the t-stat is not calling for heat.So I wired a Honeywell aquastat in parallel with the thermostat at the t-t terminals on the burner primary control and when the aquastat contacts close to call for more heat the digital display on the therm. blanks out until the aquastat contacts open.Has anyone else had this problem? Or how else could I approach the problem?

thermostat going on the frizt.
Are you using a power stealing stat ( one that requires a common ). If so go to a battery operated stat ( Robertshaw 9500 series ). This stat only has dry contacts. The electrical logic of the stat is completly independant of the boiler, therfore no blank outs on the led of the stat.
Should work I've had simular problems
Thanks, Helgy0 -

Switching relay
It sounds like you have a steam system if so,you can wire the thermostat & the aquastat to a switching relay before the primary control. Works every time.0
