My Day at the Deli

As most of you know, I am a female and I manufacture manifolds. Today, I went to buy lunch at the Deli. While I was waiting for my order, my cell phone rang and it was a customer inquiring about some custom manifolds. I asked him how many he needed, and when he needed them by. He answered my questions, then added that he needed ten outlets. So I asked him what size nipples. He answered and I said I would see what I could do to get them ASAP. I didn't notice the little old lady holding two half gallons of milk intently listening to my conversation, but when I hung up the phone, she slammed the milk on the counter, said it was the most disgusting thing she ever listened to and asked me if I was a madam!!! I was so taken back, but when I thought about the conversation on one end, I could kind of see what she was thinking. I explained to her what I do,not expecting her to understand. She apologized. Every man in the Deli was laughing when she left. Just goes to show you how people can take things the wrong way. Did she ever!!!

I would
have liked to have been there to see that lady. That would have made my day to see her face. Too funny.
You probably made her day, too. Just think of the story she can tell at her bridge group.

Reading this reminds me.....
Hey Matt , (a few weeks back doing a paper on the vernacular of the industry) or Matts Dad , How did we do on the paper ? I'm still standing by my original statement that if you didn't get at least a "B" on this , the professor has NO sense of humor .Thanks for the chuckle Lee ! Chris.0 -
Reminds me of
More Male Female stories than I could begin to tell. Just invision a hardware store in a small rural community where the menfolk always sent the wives in for parts when the machinery broke down out in the field. The looks on some of the gals faces when I tried to explain male and female threads......... Let alone the look I must have had on mine as I searched for non-offensive words.
One of the best I ever saw was the look on my dad's face when a smartly dressed woman came into the store and told him "I'd like to look at your nukers". Priceless. Nuker was her terminology for microwave.0
