has anyone come across a problem making the pressure switch on this boiler. without intake or exhaust piping the switch still won't make. switch is operating in it's proper range. heat exchanger has been vacuumed out. your thoughts? thanks

Had one once ....
that the tubing was cracked....
they use a rubber type tubing to the switch and it can get
old and brittle, don't take much to make it not work.
How old is this one???

Sounds like the heat exchanger sections are plugged with soot and scale. Short of breaking the sections apart, I have yet to figure out a way to clean scale out of the serpentine sections. You can confirm this by measuring the pressure differential across the heat exchanger with a Magnahelic guage. Good Luck! -DF
