Buderus Problem

A friend recently had a G215-5 OHW unit installed w/an LT300 HW heater and Logamatic HS2105 control unit.
For some reason all three zones in his house are off by 3 degrees from the set temperature on the thermostats and his installer seems to be a bit confused as to the reason. The only way to achieve a desired temperature is by setting the room thermostats 2-3 degrees higher then necessary. After repeated investigations his installer has assured him that the unit is programmed correctly.
Could the HS2105 need to be re-calibrated? If the calibration was slightly off would that cause the described condition?
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

pilot?
I ran out of oil and, duh, the boiler shut down. The oil was delivered the next morning and I hit the reset switch after turning the thermostat to 80. It clicked in for about a minute and shut off. I think I have to light a pilot, but have no clue where it is. I am no expert, but no idiot either. Nothing that says pilot.. no small holes... not sure what I should do next, but it is cold!
Please help!

thermostates
A couple of questions please .
Does your friend have setback thermostates ?
Is this happening only during the night ?
Has the heat anticipator been adjusted ?

He's not sure if the thermos are "setback" but tells me that that LUX is the manufacturer and he "thinks" the model is the 500 series. They were installed new w/ the system.
Re: time of day - he seems to notice it first thing in the morning. Ex: this morning thermos were set for 70 and the zones only reached 67. Attempts to overide the setting by bringing the heat up to 72 only succeeded in raising the zone temp by another degree or so. Throughout the day the temps in the house seem to match the thermostats.
Re: the heat anticipator - not sure if his installer tried this but he tells me he'll follow up.
Thanks for the input.
BTW, what's a "setback" thermometer?0 -
call your oil company
should call your oil company and have then send out a tech..could be air in the line plugged filter, nozzle strainer, etc..
probably should be handle by an experianced tech.

A setback thermosate is one that allows the temperature to be set at different temps for different times of the day. IE: most people "setback the temp" at night whent hey go to sleep and then have the temp jump back up when before they get up in the morning.
The logomatic control also "setsback" the temp and between the two ( control+thermostates ) it can really confuse you.
If using the logomatic control to set different temps for the house at different times you do NOT want to use the setback thermostats. The logomatic does not setback the temperature to the house, but uses a different heating curve during the setback times and therefor sends out a lower temperature water to the house. The thermostate still ask for the same temp, but the radiators or baseboard will recieve a lower temperature water and therefor never achive the temp they are set for.
This could be your problem.

Sounds plausible....
Yes the thermos are setback units and they are set for a lower temp during sleeping. The unit never seems to match the stats temp setting overnight though. It's always a couple of degrees cooler in the room then the stat is set for.
Do most people use the Buderus setup w/o setback thermostats or does it require alot of tweaking w/ the programmables to get the setting right?
Thanks so far. This could be the problem.0
