I am looking for info on wood fired outdoor boilers. Which is the best choice?

Well, which do you like? I do not own one...yet....and can't really tell if there are any that are really good. I lean towards the Central Boiler....although I'm not sure why. Maybe there ripple top design is an approach to achieve secondary combustion...although I suspect it doesn't work well. I am sure there is a smoke emission problems...I have seen this first hand.

They are not inexpensive...I am not sure how long they will last...but I do like the idea and it does seem like it would pay for itself in saved fuel costs pretty quickly, as in about 5 years, but it depends on whether you have free firewood or not.

    I would highly recommend

spending the bucks for a stainless steel version. I have heard stories of the steel ones leaking after 5 years! The chemical upkeep is critical on the mild steel versions.

I like the Heatmor brand. www.heatmor.com A little better design, clever water cooled door feature, nicer control package. It also has a bladder system to minimize evaporation loss.

I looked a half a dozen at the Farm Fest several weeks ago. The Heatmor impressed me most. Output wise I'll bet they are all similar, probably 40% efficient :)

www.woodheat.org is a wood burners website, ask questions there also.
