Below grade venting

A house built in late 1800's. Has had basically fire places as the first source of heating. Later electric and we cannot utilize a fire place chimney for a flue. Basement is all below grade and we cannot utilize any room on the first floor as a possible boiler room area. I had heard of utilizing a power ventor and building a metal "doghouse" against the stone exterior to bring the fluepipe out of the ground vertically with one 90 degree elbow out. This is an oil boiler application. Any other ideas? Has anyone heard of the doghouse application?

field controls has several different models for different applications. they must be wired correctly!! have put several of them in. unit must be intalled (in ct.)above anticapated snow level and 3 ft. from a door or window. also can not vent over an public walkway unless 7' ft. high. other thing to consider are other air intakes, gas meters, electrical panels, etc.
