GERRY CHECK OUT
www.amtrol.com makers of the boiler mate and other tanks. They have #15 extrol tanks all the way to floor standing models. I'm sure they can help you size right the first time. Hope this helps.0 -
expansion tank sizing
You'll need the following information to get a replacement sized:
1. Relief valve setting (from boiler safety relief)
2. Fill valve setting (from Press Reg Valve) or static pressure (vertical distance from location of the relief valve and water level (highest point) in the system)
3. Coldest fill temperature from fill source and maximum operating temperature from high limit setting
4. Size of existing tank
5. Fluid type, ie: 100% Water or other mixture. (This is very important if its glycol!)
If you have difficulty reaching someone to help you size the new tank, let me know.
