Which prog t-stat for heat pumps with aquatherm backup???

I would like a recommendation on which programmable thermostat I should use for the following condition:
Heat pumps which have a aquatherm backup (emergency heat) via a propane hot water heater. 5+2 programming is ok. Any models or info available is greatly appreciated.
Also, do you think that it would be more cost effective to use the heat pumps or the propane heat. I am thinking that the propane may actually cost less. Elec power cost is .08/kwh. Not sure of the exact propane cost at this time.
