Julie the Marathon Woman

Wallies,

My sister Julie is running her first marathon, and she's (shhhh) 44 years old! It's benefitting St Jude Children's Research Hospital (started by Danny Thomas in 1962), and is being held in Washington D.C. on October 27th. The Marine Corps is also involved.

I know there's a Wallie or two that may be willing to help sponser her...use the link and find Julie Waters under the "Sponser A Runner" section if you would. I can't think of too many better causes than helping our nation's children...who can't help themselves.

Here's the link: copy and paste.

Thank you, PJO

    I'm in

but I'm not getting the lock symbol on that site. I just emailed the webmaster to ask about credit card security.

    Alternative Method To Donate

    Wallies,

For those who are nervous about giving credit card information via the internet (like me), Julie said it's okay to send a check directly to her. Make it out to "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital" and send it to; Julie Waters, 2836 Hearth Place, Doylestown, PA 18901.

Guess what...her husband is a HVAC Contractor (does some radiant work!), and is a great guy too! It would be pretty funny if he saw this on-line!

Thanks for the support folks! Take care, PJO

I'll send her a check for a buck a mile

That's $26.20. We runners have to stick together!

And then there are the children. You never stand so tall as when you stoop to help a child.

How about it, Wallies? Anyone care to join me with a few bucks for Julie's race?
