My Impression of Wetstock

I need to go to another one soon. For me, I had a hard time sticking with a table and getting into a topic. We would be in the middle of something and I'd see a familiar name walk past. Well, I just had to go and say Hi. It was like a family reunion only this family was comprised of people I had never met in person. It just seemed like meeting everyone and seeing what made them tick was my priority for this meeting. I liked the format. I think the tables would have stayed on subject better if each table would have appointed a moderater to lead the discussion.

I really liked being able to yak with some of the people out at the leading edge of the equipment side of things and hearing what is coming down the road. (not very distant future) Bob ? from NORA was telling me about oil burner technology that some manufacturers are working on. WOW! Jim McCarthy from Viessmann had some similar comments regarding products from that company. WOW! WWOOOOWWWW! I really enjoyed a conversation with Noel Kelly about a co-gen system his company is working on and a one on one conversation with Dan Peel about business decisions and what criteria to use in making them. This industry is changing at a terrific rate and we are going to need lots of meeting like this just to stay current with what's out there. I'M PUMPED!!!!!!!

It was just way to cool to be able to meet all the folks I bumped into. (Murph and Scott, You did an excellent job keeping Mark Hunt in check) (g)

Hats off to Chuck Shaw, thanks for handling the jerky delivery and chasing all over to make sure it got there. I gotta get some of that cranberry honey too.

Hope you all enjoyed the Jerky or Juhkeh as I heard it pronounced. I now understand why it's pronounced chowda.

Wetstock was "THE BOMB" as my boys say. Can't wait for another one. I'll be waiting for the official announcement of when and where. It was probably the most profitable day I have spent in the last year in terms of what I learned and soaked up. No I'm not talking about the Sam Adams.

Thanks Dan, I wouldn't trade that day for much else, nice meeting TLM too. She does an admirable job of keeping you in line. (g)

Hope everyone has a good week.

A special thanks for the jerky !

Three cheers for Steve , that was some of the finest I've ever tasted . A special thanks to Chuck Shaw should be noted also . I understand he was the recipiant of "the package" and had armed guards to make sure it got to its final destination.Of course .... we can't forget to thank the driver of all this , Dan . Great Job Dan , and another special thanks to his family and the "other daughter" who was brought in for the occassion .They have to be very special people to put up with such shanannigans from a bunch like us !

Hope everyone had as great a time as I did . Putting faces to the names was THE BOMB , your right Steve . Take care , and Bad Dog , hows the head today ? (bet it's still a little fuzzy) Chris

    Whew!

I was exhausted - not used to this much intensity in one day. Should have brought a list - didn't get to meet nearly as many as I wanted. Those that I did meet were more than worth the time. You are right Mark (no surprise)- PEMFC are low temp. Great to know that the heartland is in such capable hands - look forward to meeting you again Steve. The next time that I am in the company of Robert Bean I will remeber to keep my mouth shut - that guy knows way too much. Great speaker too. Finally got to meet Ken - not nearly as scary as I expected! Thanks for the insights Bob - keep spreading the NORA gospel. I should have stuck with Wheels - he met everyone. Sorry we didn't have more time Leo. And Alan - missed your demo but enjoyed the chat. Fromage - sorry for not saying goodbye but farewells depress me. Thank you Dan - as always, your hospitality was gracious.
