The Grande Dame passes (ME)

After a 2 year battle with cancer, my beloved mother passed away this morning. Watching her suffer near the end was one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through. Her passing means she suffers no more, and it feels like a ton of bricks have been lifted from our families shoulders.

We're gonna miss the old gal.

Your not alone. Grief is hard.

I know how hard it is.
On September 10th. I preformed (all) of the funeral rites for my Grandfather @ his cemitary plot in MA. Did everything.
It's been nearly 2 years since he passed and I finally had his cremated remains commited to his last resting place on earth. He was my companion driving >2,178 miles back home. I loved that man more than anyone.
I am proud to say, that the cerimony was tastefully done. My Masonic MA. Brothers of Meridian lodge preformed a "full Masonic burial in due & ancient form".
It's finally done. God rest them bolth.
I am so glad that this weight has been lifted from your shoulders. I know the downward feeling.
I shall pray,
for your Mothers soul tonight.
May it be lifted to heaven.

Sorry to hear of your loss. My mom is suffering right now with 3-6 months left. I pray everyday that she won't suffer much more. Its not too pleasant watching a strong woman fall. May your mom rest in peace.

She is a Queen.

First of all Mark let me offer my sympathy and prayers. She is now celebrating what we all work toward. The suffering is here but there is nothing but JOY with the Lord. I wrote a poem many years ago and I thought I would share it with you:

"SHE IS A QUEEN"

When I sometimes in repose do wonder,
Why God made a Mother, not much credit does she get,
Praise always seems to go to another.

Many times we fail to thank her,
Gave our time to another,
Lost in selfish, thoughtless dreams,
Forgot about our Mother.

When we did such wrong that day,
No one there to comfort,
Thank God, she did not look the other way,
There to comfort was she.

God, you chose a woman fair,
To be the Mother of your Son,
Sent to earth so fair,
A man could not have done.

And when on the cross He looked down,
Spoke "Woman, Behold thy son",
He with love was dying there and looked down,
Spoke "Behold thy Mother".

Forgive me Lord for any less,
A sin it is not to love a Mother,
To remember her soft caress,
A QUEEN, she is my Mother.
