pipe insulation

Alot of the pics here show the headers wrapped ? in insulation coming off the manifolds. What and where do you get that? I've got some headers that will be pushing 50' and would like to insulate them.

I'm having trouble finding places to purchase some of the hydronics stuff I need in particular I'd like to get the a couple of the tekmar thermostats. The local plumbing supply houses have a good selection of pex stuff but that's about it. I've tried calling the manufacturers but wading thru voice mail gets tiring. Is there a place that will sell hydronic to the public?

    insulation choices

for pex pipe the polymer foam products conform best. Lots of brands, available from plumbing, heating, or refrigeration supply houses in your area. Online try johnstone suopply or graingers. They have branches in every State.

For boiler room piping on copper or steel I prefer the white fiberglass, or PVC jacketed techlite for a colorful look. Insulation wholesalers should be able to supply any of these three pictured also.
