Feed Pump Question

I have a one pipe steam system for a single floor 10 unit apartment building.
The original boiler was buired alive in the basement and the new one was placed on top (sound fimiliar)There is two end of mains one in the boiler room and one on the opposite side of the building in the laundry room. about 50 feet away.
They had return problems so they cut the return line in the laundy room which runs about the middle of the wall and about 12 feet from the end of main in a corner and added a condensate pump.WOLA the boiler floods.
My question is:
Can I install a feed pump in the boiler room at the boiler rooms end of main and leave the condensate pump using it as a transfer pump even though both end of mains are eventually tied in at the same return in the boiler room.
Thanks
Tim

    Feed Pump.

Dump the condensate into a condensate tank, then into the boiler feed tank. Remember to check the height of the "Pump Off" level of the feed pump controller. Pump into the lowest part of the equalizer. Not the Hartford Loop. Use teflon coated swing checks. You can run the return in the boiler room into the feed tank.
