Mechanical Drawing Query

Member Posts: 4
In the attached mechanical drawing specifically done for my application, Tekmar has a primary loop off the boiler. Why is this necessary? The Weil McLain GV boiler already has cold water return protection in the way of a built in bypass circ. If I create this "extra" primary loop, all the purge functions in the Tekmar 371 will be irrelevant because once the boiler is shut off (along with the built in supply circ), there will be no way to purge residual heat after the burner shuts off. Any suggestions?
Thank you

Tekmar probably didn't account for your boiler type. I would presume that it would be ok to pipe GV right into Primary loop to take advantage of purge features.
You may want to toss this question back to Tekmar so that they are aware in future that this app negates the purge features and make appropiate changes.
