in THE MAIN WALL
Customer totally remodels his house,big colonial. Jacks up the house 15 feet so they can put in a foundation,new kitchen,bathroom,garage. But is keeping the 30yr old floor furnace!!Wants to use a sideshot and kill the chimney and I'm thinking no way this is a accident waitng to happen.Wouldn't it suck the flame out even with a draft damper?

    At this point, is he just out of $$$ to do the heating correctly? I think I'd let him find someone else for the retro-fit of that. If, however, he wanted to do it right you are the MAN! bigugh [and your concern showes it!]

    he just loves the way it warms right up, expect for the cold bathroom,kitchen,backporch......

    doesn't have kids. ouch! theres no way of convincing him? Is that the only heat source in the house? I'd run away!kpc
