I would appreciate comments and suggestions on the prevention of boiler shock when using multiple water temperature zones and the use of mixing valves on the radiant zones. Is a bypass from supply to return before(or after?) all the zone supplies adequate. thank you

Boiler shock
I can speak for "Smith Boilers" and their recommendation for prevention of thermal shock. Use a "blend pump" as you suggest from the supply to the return and allow it to run as long as the boiler is active. Smith recommends a pump at 25% of the full ump rate. (Ex; 1 gpm per 10,00 btu input) Hope this helps.

Thermal Shock
One of the best defenses I can recommend against thermal shock is "primary-secondary piping".
It's just too natural a way to ignore. Protects the consumers investment. There was an error rendering this rich post.

Blend Pump idea is good. But rather than run cont. A Setpoint control could be used (i.e. Tekmar#150) to run blend pump when return temps fall to prespecified temp.
