Viessmann boiler GS1 venting

Member Posts: 13
Can we vent a Viessmann Vitogas 100 GS1-48 into a well
size chimney 8"x8" completely inside made of masonery
without using a ss 316 liner.
Viessmann technical data on their web site is not telling
us much about this subject .
The model Vitogas GS 10 required a ss 316 liner but the
GS1 not sure if it is a manufacturer requirements.

For best combustion...
Run a 6" Z-flex alum liner in the chimney (you'll need at least 28ft of vertical rise with 6") and connect with B-Vent from boiler to the chimney breech. Viessmann always wants to see B-Vent from the V-100 boilers to the chimney. The existing 8x8 chimney flue will contribute to condensation if not lined.
