    A KW is

lets say you use an electric mat product. Different outputs are available but lets just say 10 watts per square foot of mat. If you install 100 square feet (10X10 room) it would cost you 1 KW to run that room. How much do you pay for a KWH?

I believe the Watts radiant electric mats are around 12- 15 watts per square foot. Keep in mind most are installed with air/ slab stats so they probably would not run 24/7 in a floor warming application. Hard to quote actuall cost of operation until a run time is known.

Check other manufactures but I think that 10 -15 watt per square foot is a close number.

Probably electric powered hydronic would be a bit less efficient with pump power requirements and transmission loss in the supply and return to the heater location. Check up front costs between electric mat and electric hydronic, you may be surprised :)

Comes down to how large of an area you have to do.
