Sherle-Wagner plumbing fixtures?

Talk about elusive. Have a client that had some $ to burn and installed these fixtures. 6 yrs later the hot/cold stems at the sink and jacuzzi are seized up. From what I gather, Sherle-Wagner has a showroom in Manhattan, and that's about it. Anyone out there have any experience with these or where to get replacement parts? TIA!

    Thanx for the help:)

It's looking like these products are so specialized that I have to go direct to the mfr. for replacements. The second supply house told me that they can have the stems fabricated from scratch, and that then the assembly would be a total one-off affair. Ugh. My client is going to have to dig deep.

    Sherle Wagner Stems

I have several of these in faucet and shower both, each stem have one packing and one washer, other than those there shouldn't be any part that needs replacement unless the stem itself is failing or damaged. These are well build, very expensive but they should work fine after the necessary repairs are done. Be careful not to let any plumber work on these as the stems, even if you can find them, cost around $100-$250 each!

Also be extremely careful opening the top to access the packing. You need to hold the bottom with one plyer while opening the top, otherwise the entire assembly may turn which may destroy the under mount assembly.

    Stem Removal:

Yup, and if the original installer had taken the time to remove the stems before he installed the faucet and greased them up with synthetic grease like Super-Lube silicone winch grease, food grade type, you wouldn't need to call someone else with a helper to back up the underneath while you turn the top.

Dealing with more overpriced Gucci crap than I want to think about.

Right now, I'm trying to get some stems and handles off a Dornbracht "Tara" faucet without doing serious damage to something.

I hope that they aren't as bad as Czech & Speake. Those make my head hurt.
