    The second Gathering

will be somewhere in the Midwest. I'd welcome your suggestions on where it should be, and why. Thanks!

Midwest. What do you think? Chicago? Saint Louis? Minneapolis? Cleveland? Milwaukee? South Bend? (Go Irish!)

    I vote for...

    ...Chicago.

That way I would be able to visit family and friends.

Another plus would be to have it on a weekend when the Sox are playing the Mariners. That way we could see some great baseball. It's too hard to get a ticket to a game in Seattle. If the timing was really perfect the Sox would leave town on Sunday and we could catch an afternoon game at Wrigley w/ the Cubs on Monday.

    It's a good combination...baseball and hydronic heating.

    If

We have it somewhere in Northern Michigan (Gaylord, Grayling, Traverse City would have plenty of hotels and meeting rooms) I will personaly hire brother Mark to cater us a dinner of THE BADDEST STEAKS YOU HAVE EVER SUNK YOR TEETH INTO!!!! Steaks are on me guys. I'm serious. And don't feel bashful about asking for second helpings. (if you think you can hold 2 of 'em.

About this time of year the hotel rates drop drastically and Traverse Bay is BEEEEUUUUUTIFUL anytime.

We could even rent the old school here in Falmouth for the meeting while my one and only leads the charge of the WETSTOCK WIDOWS to the mall and downtown Traverse City.

How about Niagara Falls. International city, one of the seven wonders of the world. Right up there with the invention of wet heat. Hey and it is real wet too. What better place for a wet gathering!

    midwest???

Don't know where you Left Coast guys learned your geography, but if you look at the map you can plainly see that anything that could be remotely called the West lies to the left of the Rockies. The Mid-West, then lies at about Lake Tahoe, and I vote for that.

  • Dan, you said St. Louis earlier this year...

...that kind of freaked me 'cause it was so close. Wouldn't mind a trip further N though--you'll probably get more response.

There really is an amazing amount of hydronics in St. Louis--I'd venture to say that approaching 40% of the homes/apartments (small, large, few unit, many unit) in the original city still have rads. It used to be much higher but most of the the wholesale gut/remodel crews take them out "first thing."

Saw my first "Kinnear" improved Pressed Radiators there just a couple weeks ago. Amazingly compact! Small home with only 1 original BR, but good sized, very well-detailed formal areas and abundant storage. Similar homes around. My guess is a neighborhood built for "empty nesters" around the turn-of-the-century.

MO is really nice in the fall.

    Mid west

Dan I'd vote for South Dakota. (of course I'm kinda partial to these parts.) The geographical center of North American continent is out in the middle of a pasture NW of Vivian SD,not much more mid and west than that.

However just a little farther west are the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, Home to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Mounument, Deadwood (Buffalo Bill Cody, Clamity Jane, Wild Bill Hicock, ect.)Ellsworth Air Force base home of the B-1 casinos, and eats galore. Rushmore Mall for the ladies and plenty of specialty shops.

    Plus plenty of hospitable people.

Out on the prairies of Dakota Colin

My vote is a little further west... LAS VEGAS.

What more coule we ask for, cheap air fare, cheap rooms and ELVIS..... and of course the chicken ranch that I am told is out there. But who wants Perdue when you can gamble?

Seeing as it looks like I missed the boat for WET 1 anything within a shot of Ontario,Canada would be great.

    Good Luck
