depending on how its pipe you should fill it and purge all air out best way you can.once all valves are open fill valve will keep system pressure at 12psi.

need to add water to a new zone
I'm adding a new zone to a 4 year old multizone how water baseboard hydronic heating system. How do I know how much water to allow in to the new piping? This seems to be about the only information I can't get my hands on. Also, I have Robert Shaw thermostats (24 volt), the resistors were never installed by the builders HVAC contractor. The manufacturer of the thermostats has not been any help and they are burning out. I have all the paper work except what terminals on the zone control they go across. Anyone who can be of any help may reply or request more information from my email (blackleather@iwon.com) thanks in advance0
