Tough Love Friday

I got calls from three different people in the East Bay who want their Voyagers fixed. Gave 'em your phone number. Coupla HeatMakers and Glocores too. Have a nice day!

Just kidding

  • Do these things happen to anybody else?

    1) The no-hub bands on a interior rainwater drain weren't tightened properly and we just had out first rain; took out the homeowners cabinets, carpet, clothes and sheetrock.

    2) A new Baxi Luna won't fire properly; only produces warm water for DHW; rep. says to test and adjust 3 different gas pressures: start-up, low fire and high fire. (Why can't I just get a boiler that works; testing and adjusting gas pressures still intimidates me.)

    3) Fourteen messages on the phone since lunch.

    4) Six jobs to bid; due today.

So I cancelled all my afternoon apointments.....couldn't do them even if I wanted to....stress organs in my body are producing too much stress enzyme and shorting out my brain.

All you guys out there..........have a nice weekend.

Grin and Bear it uh......oh well

You did the best thing to make sure you stay sane. Often I had had one of those days, first thing to go is the polite and friendly tone, then as the fuse burns shorter and shorter......KABOOOM!
BTW I had seen a problem with no hub CI and the no hub clamps, Black Swan adhesive was used on the joints and it seemed to have chemically melted the clear coating on the Cast-iron pipe, joints that were not physically supported slid loose!!
    Yikes!!!

    Look on the bright side!!!!!

At least you HAD work, to go bad!!!!!

Hopefully you still will make a profit, albeit less than you anticipated.

You had 14 phone calls after lunch, you must be doing something right,
otherwise you wouldn't be so much in demand!!!!

You had 6 jobs to bid!!!! A great oppurtunity to make up some of the lost profits!!!!!

If you weren't doing things right, you wouldn't have the potential for things to go wrong!!!!

Hang in there all good things come to an end, and so do the bad things....
tomorrows another day and the sun will rise the same as always!!!

You know, I wouldn't know what do; never worked on one and don't think I want to either.

Ah, home of the Milford diner. I did a prison over there one time. The diner still open?
