So since I was in Belguim and this IS a heating sight, I checked out the heat as much as I could. This photo is the panel rad. in my hotel room. Almost everyone I checked out had a panel rad with thermostatic valve. The heat was not on when I got in the romm but came on that night. Don't know if it was WWSD or just a switch that the hotel operated when they felt it was cold enough. Saw a couple of Danfoss valves the others I could'nt tell the name.

Only saw one house that had cast iron radiators. Oddly enough in a very old town.

My nephews house that he stayed in had a new boiler, oil fired with riello, did'nt know the name but looked like Viessmann. All manifolds with panels rads and TRV's ( these had bypass valves ) All the pex was run in colored sleeves. Red for feed and Blue for returns.

Saw a number of Viessmann signs and a Buderus plant ( no time for a tour :( ).

from what i have heard ....psssst.

is under the guise of conservation these public domains (hotels and such) turn down thier equipment during the
day then fire back up at night!! the trv's do not surprise me as that is the only way to control room to room as we gluttons seem to just put a heat-pump in all motel rooms.


didya get to eat them waffels they are famous for (G) ?? here is one that you old timer's may be able to handle!!
