Between apartment jobs, replacement jobs & new construction i have probably used 20 guard dogs in the last 6 months with 0 problems, also saw that NYS code is now requiring lwco protection on all installs, maybe instead of enron or emclone we should be investing in ITT McDonald Miller--AL!!

safgard or guarddog
The pictures posted here on the wall recently seem to indicate a preference for safgard LWCO. Anyone ever use a McDonnell&Miller GuardDog RB-24 on residential systems?

I like the Guard Dogs
I use the 120. It is a 120 volt and I find it more versitle. It allows you to drop off all the power to the boiler and all the pumps, in the event of a low water condition.
Generally the 24 V wires into the boiler low voltage circuit and will not protect the pumps. Just a thought, price is about the same.
