I've got another question. Does anyone use pex for running regular domestic water lines? I haven't seen it done, are there drawbacks to it? Sometimes running copper, steel or pvc in some spots can be tough.

I use it all the time. I am sure it is going to be the thing to use of the future. copper will soon be a thing of the past.0 -
I have ...
run miles of the stuff. I prefer the Vangaurd brand for domestic.I either drill out and run through the holes or if i have a bunch of lines to run (as in a manifold set up ) i run the through a 3"or 4" piece of pvc to give support.kpc0
