Check out the new designer logo that I stuck in a visio drawing of mine. This drawing was the first page of my proposal. Design and heatloss calcs were next, followed by the actual 2 page contract and Buderus and Tekmar brochure. I put it all in a binder with a clear cover. The drawing was in full view and the first thing anyone sees. I priced the job to cover all of my expenses and profit. I also priced it high enough so that we can do a very good job and still make a profit. I submitted it to a builder. YES!! A BUILDER! The builder looked at it and told me he would show it to the home owner. I asked if the builder wanted me to be there to answer questions. The builder said he didn't think so but if the home owner had questions he would set up a future apointment. I have done work for the builder before. The other jobs were mostly plumbing in a few bathrooms here and there. I know he likes the quality of our work and our reliability. The builder does nice work himself and has some very high end clients. I thought the price was too high and maybe the builder would want me to cut out stuff or downsize the project. The builder got back to me and told me that the homeowner liked it and wanted to hire me! I am collecting a deposit next week and plan to start the job soon!
