How to determine head requirement

Boiler is 160k in, 120k out. For 20deg temp rise thru boiler I need 12gpm. This says 1-1/4 pipe which is consistent with supplu/return taps on boiler.
To properly size the primary pump, I need to know the pressure drop thru the loop. For loops out thru baseboard my understanding is that pipe and pump are sized based on 4ft of head per 100 ft of pipe.
What about the circulator for a primary loop? 10-15ft of pipe, B&G IAS, ESBE TV, 6-8 90deg elbows and of course the boiler itself. My gut feel is that something like a Taco 005 would be appropriate but would like to be able to back that up with some fact.
Thanks, Mark
