Replacing baseboard heaters
Lisa (Connecticut)
Member Posts: 1
We have just purchsed a 1924 colonial home where the original radiators were replaced with baseboard heaters. The baseboard heaters are nearly a foot high and extend along the length of 3 walls of each of the rooms in our newly bought house. I wondered if it would be costly to replace these baseboard heaters with radiators? (Or any other means of heating as the baseboard heaters are old and unsightly). Our hot water boiler is gas. The current baseboard heaters are small electric fins warmed by a copper pipe which the electric fins and metal outer casing of the heater covers. Many thanks, Lisa.
