Ever since
we started having problems (air intolerance) with Grundfos, we switched to Taco and have been very satisfied; we have been using them along with their other products (controllers, fill valves, etc.) for the last 10 years.
We've only used B & G a few times. The last time was when the homeowner purchased the materials a few years back; they seems to work fine.

I like Grundfos
a very wide range with a couple brand new flat curve models. Integral checks, VS injection pumps, three year warranty. Hard to beat :)www.grundfos.com

please
use taco's. At least on your standard residential jobs. Put them on and forget them.0 -
B&G Taco
Have used both, started use with B&G because they give new bolts which was good for replacement jobs. Then to save afew pennies they stopped putting then in w/pumps.You have to buy flange set for new bolts now.Hopefully someone from B&G reads this. We still use B&G which is a good pump.
P.S. In our area Home Depot sells Taco which is why we use B&G only now.0 -
Support:
I stick with B&G because of great support in my area. They have had some problems with the PL's, but dealt with it quickly and fairly. I especially like the new NRF-33, It has an old fashioned flat pump curve, but maintenance free. Been using it with zone valves and plan on using it in the future doubled up on a tekmar 361 VP control in order to get a super high output in a large installation... about 65 gpm. I still wish the SLC-30 was still around...was the quietest pump I have ever not heard. Makes the NRF, 007, Brute sound like they are full of marbles.

We've used both
and both perform well. What decides the issue for us is how closely the circ's performance curve matches the job.

B&G SLC-30
Hi Boilerpro!
Try an Armstrong Astro 30. Very similar to the old B&G.
