Any help out there on why manufacturers (trane, york, etc.) insist on the use of two compressors(tandem hermetics) with several inter connecting lines. This application makes no sense because if you have a problem with one compressor you have an issue with both of them due to access!!! Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!

Servicewiz,ITs all about efficency and cost. Why have a single compressor running at full load, when you can modulate
your btus with two compressor.when it come to vapor compression system 5 ton and less its the only way.Other then the two speed compressor.I think they, being trane, york
or whom ever do what they do so they can said we are the only ones that have this design, come buy from us.I personally dont sweat it, has long has they or willing to stand behind there product it is fine by me.Double the trouble, double the dollars.0
