Lost another Uncle this monrning at 11:15

Uncle Dan, lost the fight to lung cancer this morning. He was one of my dad's younger brothers. Never a dull moment around him. Left 3 children, 6 grandkids, 3 ex-wifes, 2 sisters, 4 brothers, 40 plus neeces and newphews, 15 great neeces and newphews, 6 great,great nephews. Not happy he is gone, but he suffered so much the last six months, I just know he is better off. He didn't want a funeral or even a memorial service. He said "when I am dead, those flowers would not do me any good". He didn't wanted to be buried; said "it would just take up good garden space". Well Uncle Dan this is my send off to you, no better place to share my feelings for you than right here among friends. I love you ole man.

Sounds like a fun guy

David your Uncle sounds like he was a character. My Dad use to say what a waste the flowers where,also. When he died my mom said what should I get for a casket. Mom, I said, if there was a plywood box here, thats what Dad would want.

David your wonderfull memories of your uncle is his best legacy. Be happy you had such a good Uncle.
