Got called to inspect a boiler in a 6 year old home by a person considering buying it. Seems he thought the boiler looked a little wierd.
The home was built by the origional occupant who lived there with his wife for 3 years. She then took off and shacked up with another guy and won the house in the ensuing divorce. (The dad got the 3 kids thank the Lord)
The ex moved back in and proceeded to go through a string of about 8 different live-in lovers in 2 years. (From the pictures you will easily be able to determine that one of them was a boiler expert. A technician among technicians. A true titan of skill and a veritable mountain of knowledge.
Observe that you don't need a gas valve to operate the burner anymore. Just connect the green hose, turn on the gas cock and throw a match under the boiler. (LP Gas BTW)
Also note the novel approach to constant circulation made possible by the critical placement of the bottle cap. Who needs relays????
Also, the boiler can be made 100% efficient by a minor adjustment to the defunct Plex-Vent. Why waste any heat?
The broad and whatever live-in she was with were evicted by the sherriff this past December and the place sat un-heated the remainder of the winter. The frozen BB was simply to sad to reproduce on film.
BTW, A Darwin Award is given to those folks who "prove" the old scientists theory of evolution and natural selection by removing themselves from the gene pool in an outrageously stupid manner.

Yes, my dear brothers...........
This thing was actually used like you see it here. The green tube connected from the gas valve to the burner manifold is clear vinyl tubing. ALL! of the safety switches, limits, rollouts etc. are jumped out or removed as in gone, not there. I've just flat out never seen anything like it. Can't believe that no-one was killed.
