On 2 Tier baseboard, circuits normally in parallel?

What are disadvantages or running in series other than lower leaving water temperatures, and slightly reduced output?

    piping in series will produce a higher pressure drop and may cause flow problems, which may need larger pumps which cost more to supply and operate.
