1. What is the best way to cut a gauge glass? 2. how long should a glass be cut?

cutting
1) with a gauge glass cutter. Its a tool made just for this. Your suppleir should have one.
2) As long as it takes to cut it. Sorry could'nt help it. They are all differnt in length as far as I know, MAtch what you had. It should slid up into the top petcock and then sit down in the bottom.
