Lowes "allegedly" test marketed a program involving a major HVAC manufacturer in various U.S. markets to see if it could successfully duplicate the Trane/Home Depot program. The test ended a few weeks ago and there will be no partnership at this time. Has anyone heard of any partnerships involving a "big box" and HVACR manufacturer?

Orange Box
has been having a "yellow tag=40-60% off" sale these past couple weeks in the Baltimore area. At one store I saw a Trane outdoor unit with a yellow tag on it!
Gee, maybe they've had trouble selling the thing (during a heat wave yet!)?
