One of these???? sorry no picture but I went out and looked at a house needing "a new boiler" . what they actually have is this gigantic thing that says Carrier on it. The house dates from 1935. This unit is a steam boiler on the bottom with blowers and a steam coil above it encased in a sheetmetal jacket! It's like a big self contained hydro air system it even has a what looks like an internal steam humidifier inside of it off the boiler. It heats about 2/3rds of the house through ductwork. The rest actualy has steam radiators tapped off of it! it never fails when i don't bring my camera i always see wierd stuff.
Also saw some radiators that are flat like a matress radiator but are extreemly ornamental they are 4" thick or so and really aren't sectioned off. The center is a very intricate casting as opposed to be being just flat like a matress radiator, 1880's???
