    going back?

What you see is what you get! this new wall is better in that it contains much more information, and it is easier to get & read! If you want to keep something just "click" upon the dot at the beginning of the post you want and it will be remembered, at the bottom of your main page. (Dan is out of touch so I filled this request for you).

    You can search

for any related topic in past posts by clicking on the search button. It will ask you for a keyword and will list all related threads with that keyword for a time frame you can specify. Very handy!

    Also

if you Bookmark the thread (look at the bottom of the opening screen) it will stay on your screen forever. If it falls off the Wall and you still have it bookmarked, just add a reply and it will appear again at the top of the Wall. I just did that with a post from July 2 that I had bookmarked. It's directly above (Sale!).

    The immortal post.

    But only

for 90 days. Unless you Archive it to yourself. Or Bookmark it.

Takes some getting used to, but there are some very nice features here.

    red dot didn't stay

I "marked" two topics with the red dot in the last couple of weeks and was glad to see they hung out at the bottom of the list. Then they were gone yesterday. What happened?

    Thanks Dan

I don't recall how old and I don't now recall the subject. It's okay. Impermanence. I think I'll just remember to use the great archive feature in the future.

    Thanks, Greg

    I'm wondering

if you deleted the cookie that holds the bookmarks in place. Do any clean-ups on your hard drive lately?

    cleanup

    Dan,

I did do a major back-up then cleanout of old files, cookies, etc. Was that likely to be the cause of the loss?

    Thanks, Greg

    Yes

that explains it. If you delete the cookie that holds things in place then you have to start all over again. Thanks for helping me figure this one out!
