A surprize awaited me when I arrived home for lunch. Guess the freight company got a little rowdy!

Not the best packing job for a cross country trip either. Maybe the Slant Fin boys could share their baseboard shipping tips.

    I got a shipment

that looked like that once.. made the shipping company not only pay to deliver new stuff, but made them pay for the damage also.

they were very careful on their next delivery!

    damaged freight

If nobody signed the delivery receipt file a claim . If somebody signed call your supplier and get them on the claim process. Never sign a delivery receipt clear. Always sign bills of lading and delivery slips "Subject To Inspection", even if the package looks perfect or make the driver wait while every piece is checked and counted. Only way to guarantee complete intact order. If the driver balks at that signature tell him to take it back, your not accepting without inspection. After Ten years hauling freight in the lower 48 you learn that the freight companies have no heart and will screw the receiver any way they can, cause once they pick the product up as far as the shipper is concerned the trucking company owns it.Any shortage or damage is on the freight company
