'02 year of the transfer plates? hr

Seems to be a lot of interest in transfer plates lately. The ASHRAE study answering some controversial questions.
Radiant manufactures adding transfer plates to their catalogs for the first time ever.
Other manufactures jockeying for up-scale aluminum plates. Radiant wall and celing applications getting more attention for supplemental to floor radiant.
Would it be premature to add some Renyolds stock to the old portfolio :)

WOW...
I don't ever remember an article that Siggy's ever written that chastised someone for their actions. Good for him. And good for the people who take his articles to heart.
I think a lot of the problem stems from manufacturers whose only interest is selling more tube. SELL, SELL, SELL!!! Don't worry about doing it right, just get it in and you can deal with the other problems later! Crank the temperature up. This stuff can handle 180 degree F water all day long!!
I was recently asked for my opinion on a contractor who had installed a bunch of tubing and didn't perform any kind of pressure tests on his tubing before gypcrete was poured. It seems that the installers hit the tube with the staple gun at least three times, that they know of, due to major ceiling and building damage when the staple eventually rotted off. He wanted me to speak as an expert witness in the contractors favor. I told him I wasn't interested. If the contractor doesn't do it right, it makes us ALL look bad. Do it right. Do it once.
I feel Siggys pain...
