Calling control companies - David Van Wickler

Would it be or is it done already that the control companies add a funtional hour meter and daily, weekly, monthly, etc. (you figure it out) boiler cycling program - it's just programming and tekmar and Heat Timer have nice boiler controls - even the injection and mixing valve controls if wired to call the boiler could inculde this function. It takes about .5hrs of programming and could be useful to contractors that periodically call on happy customers for a check-up.

David,
In tekmar's advanced control offering (262,363,363,364) of staging and mixing controls, one of the menu options is called the monitor menu. Within the monitor menu, there are several items that the control logs operation hours. ie: the number of hours the boiler contacts have been closed, the number of boiler cycles, dhw pump hrs, system pump hrs, highs and lows of outdoor temperature, dhw tank temperatures as well as system water temperatures. I don't know if this is exactly what you wanted, but they seem to be headed in the right direction.0 -
Timer functions
Viessmann includes the timer function in the Vitoronic 200 and 300 computers. There's also a service reminder window that can be programmed to remind the customer that service is due.
