if you bookmark a post (look down at the bottom of the Wall) it will remain up forever, but only you will see it. It's a way to save entire threads that you find interesting. The ultimate immortalization!

replies to it at a later date, will the entire thread pop back up on the Wall?0 -

Thanks Mark, you too, and the same
to Dan and all Wallies. Dan, I just tried to check out this bookmark function. A link to "bookmark a thread" only appears at the bottom of the main Wall listing, not in individual threads. Also, when I attempt to click on that link (expecting it will then ask me which thread to archive) there's no response. FYI, I'm at home using the latest revision of Earthlink's customized version of Internet Explorer. Just a little bug for Invision to troubleshoot tomorrow, or next week if they're taking a long weekend off.0 -
I don't think so
but we can try it! I know Cheese has an old thread bookmarked that I can't see on my screen.Retired and loving it.0 -
its original title
was "Subscribe to Topic" and none of us knew what that meant so I asked Invision to change it to Bookmark. It appears only on the first page because it holds the whole topic in place on your computer. It can't do a part of a thread.Retired and loving it.0 -
When I want to keep an important post
I hit the print button. I have much better luck with a good old metal file cabinet than these computers with minds of their own I'm sure lots of my lost data is operator error.
Maybe I'm old fashioned, and not very computer literate , but I seem to be able to control paper documents pretty well.

that is about 2 weeks old. it was an accidental discovery!
if you click on the little dot to the left of the thread, it will bookmark it for you, just keeping it on your page until you un-bookmark it.

Thanks Chris. Now that you've explained,
it's obvious the footnote is just a description, not a clickable link. Guess Invision can deal with real bugs rather than my imagined one.0
