I am installing a Weil-Mclain #AHE-45 wall hung type boiler for a radiant heat system in a penthouse in NYC. The pump for this boiler is integral and has a built in mixing valve as part of thepump housing.
How can I use the pumping away arrangement with this type of boiler. By the way, i am installing a four waymixing valve and using primary and secondary type piping.
Where do I put the expansion tank and Spirovent so that i do not have any air problems.
Thanks,
Ted

Great boiler
Primary loop the boiler and then pipe to a secondary (closely spaced tees); this seconday loop is where you'll install your purge assembly, air eliminator, circulator, etc. for pumping away.
All the best,
Alan

Alan,
Thanks for reply. Isnt this particular boiler its own primary loop?0 -
You need to pipe
the primary loop; there is a mixing valve, but that is only to protect the boiler from low return water temperatures.
