Whats the difference between the Toto Ultimate and Ultramax ? Is there a significant difference in performance ?

    TOTO Ultimate vs Ultramax

    Both are very fine and comparable water closets, using the high profile tank with 2 1/8" trapway and 3" flush valves. The Ultramax is the best performing water closet of the two - the technology in this unit is the best TOTO makes-and is usually rated the best available. Both have 5 year limited warranties.

    The UltraMax

    comes with a G-Max flush system and the Ultimate comes with a power gravity system. You want the G-Max flush since it's a better flushing system.

    Make sure you order the Toto soft-close seat as well. Just tip it past centerline and it will slowly lower itself back down onto the bowl. Very nice.
