I want to install 2 radiant zones in the extention I'm building but I'm being told that a radiant system doesent work well under hardwood floors; poor heat transfer. Any opinions out there? thanks

heard it from a friend, who heard it from....
if anything, radiantly heated hardwood floors have superior heat transfer over any other type of heating method. It is all in the design and competence of the installer. radaint heat is PERFECT for hardwood floors!

Like anything else - do it right and you'll love the results. There are limits to the available output but most of today's construction methods and installation styles give stellar results from radiant. What's your geography, we can help!! Enjoy...Dan
